I believe AI should continue to grow long after its training is complete.

I'm Chen Guoyi, currently conducting research at OpenMIA, focusing on lifelong learning for large language models.

We learn from our mistakes, discover new perspectives through conversations, and gradually turn our experiences into the ability to navigate the unknown. I hope AI can learn in much the same way: continuously learning through interaction with the world, correcting its own mistakes, and building upon past experiences to become better over time.

My research explores lifelong model editing as a path toward this vision. I am particularly interested in how knowledge and experience can become lasting capabilities within a model, rather than simply information stored for retrieval. I also care deeply about making this process reliable and efficient. Can models acquire new knowledge without losing what they have already learned? Can they continue to evolve with limited computational resources, perhaps even learning and adapting directly on personal devices?

I envision a future where AI is no longer merely the product of a single training process, but a system that learns from experience, accumulates knowledge, and continues to grow alongside the people it serves.

I don't just want AI to know more. I want it to keep learning.
